Book Review: Our Not-Quite-Holy Family

I’m always in the mood for a good parenting book, but if there’s one with a little wit and a lot of common-sense, that’s even better. I just finished a book that touches on an array of topics related to marriage, family life and children. Our Not-Quite-Holy Family: A Practical Guide for Catholic Parents is a perfect combination of humor, practical advice, and intertwines aspects of the Catholic faith. Each chapter addresses pertinent issues in family life: parenting ideologies, the domestic church, being present with children, technology limitations, and marital intimacy. The book is written by Mark and Melanie Hart (The Bible Geek) and throughout the book, the couple includes personal stories and lessons learned in relation to the topics. I highly recommend this book if you’re look for a quick read, but addresses practical topics that are relatable throughout the different seasons of parenting. *
